Welcoming each member with her friendly and outgoing personality, she discovered a true joy in making everyone feel like they belonged. This year, as Vice President, Rosario is excited to continue guiding and inspiring her peers, drawing from the lessons learned and the connections made. Rosario's commitment to the Newman FFA Chapter goes beyond just holding a title, it's about fostering growth and creating opportunities for everyone. Her participation in the Creed, Best Informed Greenhand, Parliamentary Procedure Team, Veterinary Science Team not only broadened her own skills but also allowed her to contribute to the chapter in diverse ways. These experiences have deepened her understanding of teamwork, leadership, and the importance of continuous learning. Looking ahead, Rosario is excited to continue to keep being on the Parliamentarian Procedure and Vet Team, and maybe even try El Credo. Rosario is eager to see what new challenges and triumphs await the chapter. She is dedicated to creating an environment where every member feels empowered to explore their passions and reach their full potential. Chapter SecretaryKelly ZapienThis year, Kelly has the privilege of serving as the chapter secretary, a dream she had been working toward for such a long time. The road was definitely not always easy, but every step along the way helped make this dream possible. FFA sparked a true passion in Kelly from the very beginning. When she first participated in Opening and Closing and served as one of the chapter’s presidents, she was surprised by how easily her lines came to her. Little did she know, that spark was only beginning to grow. Attending State Conference, being surrounded by thousands of FFA members, and pin trading quickly became some of her favorite memories. From participating in Occupational Olympics, going to sectional ice skating, attending monthly meetings, serving as the Tri-Rivers Sectional Delegate, and going on the Top 20 trip, every experience has been something she will always remember. Attending MFE and ALA, helping with the Crab Feed, and going line dancing have all played an important role in making her FFA experience what it is today. This year, Kelly will join a team, and there is even a tiny spark telling her to try something new: auctioneering. She is not sure if she will listen to that spark just yet, and she may even show a pig, we will see where this year takes her! No matter what this year holds, Kelly has one main goal as secretary: to make every single member feel included, valued, and like they truly belong in the chapter. That is the main reason she wanted to become an officer in the first place. She cannot wait to see what this year brings because it is completely unwritten, and she gets to help create the story. This year, she has chosen to live by the words: “Living to Serve.”
